Meditation

Hi guys, so happy to finally write this post.
Especially after so many of you have been requesting it. It makes me happy that you actually request me to write about subjects like this! Thank you 🙂

There’s a lot of different ways to meditate and to be honest, when I first started about a year ago, I had no idea what I was doing. I had no idea how to do it either and I got so frustrated because nothing happened. I was so fixated on something mind-blowing happening that I totally lost track of the real purpose behind meditation. I actually stopped again for a couple of months because it just made me irritated whenever I sat down to do it. I literally thought that I could just sit down, close my eyes and tell myself I was meditating and then the higher spirits would come and visit me. Well easy to say I got very disappointed with the universe. Never for a second did I stop and reflect over my own actions. I just blamed the universe for not living up to this little fantasy I had going on in my head.

4-5 months passed by and my curiosity came back. My mind was stressed out and on the edge of shutting down. I was in serious need of calming it down (without having to take any happy pills from the doctor). So I got back into meditating. This time I had different intensions with it though. I wanted to be able to silence my mind from all of these thoughts that just hunted me night and day. I started to search on youtube to find some guided meditation videoes. Damn there’s a lot of different ways to do this. It was a jungle, so I ended up randomly just picking a video. This was the video:

It’s funny how you can actually land on exactly what you need, without knowing where to find it. This video really helped me get started with meditating. I started out just doing these 10 minutes a couple of times every week until I felt like I was able to actually calm myself completely for those 10 minutes. Then I started searching more around on youtube and found other videos which I experimented with. But I still felt like something was missing. One day I discussed meditation with my brother, who used to meditate a lot, and he told me that when he did it, he actually didn’t try to control his thoughts at all. He would just let them pass by. It helped me a lot and I realized that If I actually stopped trying to control what I was thinking and just let whichever thoughts came up, pass by on the screen, without attaching feelings to them, they would soon get quiet all by themself. All this ofc. happened in baby steps and not just over night. It has actually taking me over half a year now, to be able to sit down and meditate for an hour straight. Depending on what I feel my body needs, there are different methods I use. If I feel like my mind is stressed out, I meditate to this (put it on repeat)

I usually start out by taking deep breaths through the nose and breathe out heavily through the mouth. (The exhale breath is the breath of relaxation) In the beginning I am only focused on my breath and then slowly, naturally my breath gets quiet, heavy and very slow. So slow that it almost feels like I’m not breathing, but I am. And then I just observe my mind, like it’s not even a part of me. Just as if it was an outside thing happening. I watch all my thoughts. Good and bad. But I don’t judge them, I don’t get mad at them if they’re negative. I just watch them for as long as they feel like popping up. At some point it gets quiet. And even if it doesn’t, it’s okay. Don’t try to force anything to happen. Just let whatever happens, happen. It’s always beautiful.

The other method I use is, I meditate to binaural beats. But this is when I feel like I’m in control and feel the need to expand my mind or maybe even reprogram it. When I want to use binaural beats to reprogram my mind, I keep myself in constant control of my thoughts. It’s very important that you are clear about which “program” you wish to install before you start. For example, I use it if I want to program positive thoughts in my mind. I get very clear about the postive phrases I want to use and tell mysel. When I have achieved the meditation state of mind, I begin saying these phrases to myself over and over. It’s very important to keep focused and don’t let your mind wander off. Only let it evolve into more postive phrases. I actually don’t know if other people do this, but it works for me. I wouldn’t recommend you to start out with this though, before you feel like you’re in at least a little control of your thoughts. This is my favorite binaural beat to expand my mind with

You can also use binaural beats to induce lucid dreaming or astral projection.

Love, Caro
